Terchireman Hene Praises Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s 27 Years of Dedication

 

Otumfuo Brempong Nana Dr. Oko Agyeman Boakye II, the Terchireman Hene, has praised the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his distinguished and selfless service to the Asante Kingdom over the past 27 years.

Speaking in exclusive interview Oseikrom Dawuro Newspaper, Nana Dr. Boakye II lauded the Asantehene’s leadership, describing it as a model of dedication, wisdom, and commitment to the preservation of Asante culture and tradition.

He noted that Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s reign has been marked by efforts to promote peace, unity, and development across the kingdom and beyond.

“Your Majesty’s selfless service on the Golden Stool has brought honour not only to the Asante Kingdom but to Ghana as a whole,” the Terchireman Hene said.

“Your leadership continues to inspire traditional authorities and citizens alike to uphold the values of integrity, justice, and communal progress.”

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II ascended the Golden Stool in 1999 and has since become one of Ghana’s most respected traditional rulers.

His tenure has been characterized by advocacy for education, healthcare, chieftaincy reform, and conflict resolution, earning him recognition both locally and internationally.

Terchireman Hene’s commendation comes as chiefs and subjects across Asanteman continue to mark milestones in the Asantehene’s reign, reflecting on his role in strengthening the institution of chieftaincy and fostering national cohesion.

Nana Dr. Boakye II reaffirmed Terchire’s loyalty to the Golden Stool and pledged the continued support of the area’s traditional authorities and people in advancing the Asantehene’s vision for the kingdom.

The Asante Kingdom remains one of Ghana’s most influential traditional polities, with the Asantehene serving as its paramount ruler and custodian of its cultural heritage.
