The Municipal Chief Executive of Oforikrom Municipal Assembly, Hon. Anwel Sadat, has urged students of Kumasi Anglican Senior High School to uphold the values of the school and strive for academic excellence that will set them apart.

Hon. Sadat, an old student of the school popularly known as “Super KASS”, made the call during the 60th Anniversary celebration of the school held in Kumasi.

“Make KASS Proud”
Addressing students, staff, old students and guests, the MCE said the school has over the years produced distinguished personalities who have contributed meaningfully to national development.

He encouraged the current students to learn hard and maintain high standards of discipline to continue the legacy.
“You carry the name Super KASS. Make the school proud. Learn hard and distinguish yourselves among the rest,” Hon. Sadat told the students.
“The foundation you are building here will determine the kind of leaders and professionals you become in future.”

He also commended the school’s management, teachers and the old students’ association for their role in sustaining the school’s reputation over six decades.
As part of his contribution to the anniversary, Hon. Sadat donated GH₵10,000 to support activities marking the 60th milestone.
He said the donation was his way of giving back to the institution that shaped him and to help ensure the celebrations are memorable.
The gesture, he added, also reflects his commitment to supporting education and youth development in the Oforikrom Municipality.

The 60th Anniversary celebration brought together old students, traditional leaders, clergy, parents and other stakeholders to reflect on the school’s journey since its establishment.

Speakers at the event highlighted Kumasi Anglican Senior High School’s contribution to education, leadership and service in the Ashanti Region and beyond.
School authorities used the occasion to outline plans for infrastructure development and academic improvement as the school enters its seventh decade.
The anniversary was marked with thanksgiving, cultural displays, and fundraising activities aimed at supporting key projects in the school.
