An Accountant, entrepreneur, philanthropist and Ashanti Regional DMB Campaign Coordinating Secretary, Madam Adwoa Adutwumwaa Boadi, has declared her intention to contest for the Ashanti Regional Assistant Secretary position of the New Patriotic Party.
Madam Adutwumwaa Boadi, who currently serves as Patron for the Ahafo Ano South West constituency, said her bid is anchored on strengthening grassroots structures and mobilizing women votes to help return the NPP, the “elephant,” to power.
Campaign Anchored On Competence, Integrity And Loyalty
Announcing her decision, Madam Adutwumwaa Boadi said her campaign motto of Competence, Integrity and Loyalty will guide her work if given the mandate.
“My focus is to bring competence, integrity and loyalty into the running of the party at the regional level,” she stated. “These are the values that will help us to re-organize, reconnect with the base, and bring the elephant into power.”
She noted that her experience in accounting, business, philanthropy and party mobilization positions her to support the regional secretariat to be more efficient and responsive to the needs of members at the constituency level.
Emphasis On Women Mobilization And Gender Balance
The aspirant said a key priority of her tenure will be to bridge the gender gap within the party and increase women’s participation in decision-making and campaign activities.
“It is key in bridging the gender balance gap by bringing in more women into the job,” she said. “Women form the backbone of our grassroots, and if we properly resource and organize them, we will win massively.”
Madam Adutwumwaa Boadi has been recognized for her work in grassroots mobilization, particularly in Ahafo Ano South West where she has been instrumental in engaging and bringing more women into the party.
Party members in the constituency describe her as “very exceptional” in connecting with women groups, market associations, and youth, and in using her philanthropic initiatives to support vulnerable members.

Analysts say the Assistant Secretary race in the Ashanti Region is expected to be competitive, with emphasis on candidates who can deliver strong organizational support and improve women’s representation in the party’s administration.
Delegates across the 47 constituencies in the Ashanti Region are expected to vote for new regional executives in the coming months.
