Sir John Fulfills Campaign Promise With GHC1,000 Monthly Support For NPP Electoral Areas

The Constituency Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, in Atwima Nwabiagya South, John Kwame Duodu, popularly known as Sir John, has begun the fulfillment of his campaign promise to provide monthly financial incentives of GHC1,000.00 to electoral areas within the constituency.

In a statement dated Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and addressed to all coordinators, electoral area executives, party agents, and the rank and file of the party, Mr. Duodu announced that the first disbursement will commence at the end of July 2026.

Fulfilling A Campaign Promise

According to the statement, the initiative was part of Mr. Duodu’s commitment made during his campaign for Constituency Secretary.

“During my campaign for the office of Constituency Secretary, I made a commitment to introduce monthly financial incentives on a rotational basis to support our Electoral Areas.

This initiative is intended to motivate our hardworking party agents, strengthen grassroots management, and equip our grassroots structures to remain active and effective,” he stated.

The Constituency Secretary explained that the support is aimed at sustaining the base of the party, which he described as the backbone of the NPP.

Rotational Disbursement To Begin With Atwima Manhyia

To ensure fairness and transparency, Mr. Duodu said the GHC1,000 monthly support will be disbursed on a rotational basis, with Atwima Manhyia Electoral Area being the first beneficiary.

“The exercise will continue in the established order until every Electoral Area within the constituency has received its share of the monthly support,” the statement noted.

Objectives Of The Initiative

The statement outlined four key objectives of the program:
Motivation of party agents
Strengthening grassroots management
Equipping our structures to remain active and effective
Sustaining our electoral success

Mr. Duodu stressed that strengthening the grassroots remains a collective responsibility of the party leadership to ensure the base is well-equipped and motivated to manage the party’s base effectively and secure victory in future elections.

“This initiative reflects my unwavering commitment to strengthening the foundation of our great party. Our grassroots remain the backbone of the NPP, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they are well-equipped and motivated,” he added.

Call For Unity

The Constituency Secretary used the opportunity to appreciate members for their confidence, support, and dedication to the party. He urged members to remain united as they work toward the progress of the constituency and the victory of the NPP.

“Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more united, and better organized constituency,” he said.

The statement was copied to the Constituency Chairman, Hon. Dr. Eugene Danquah Ofori-Appiah, and the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Shirley Kyei.

The NPP in Atwima Nwabiagya South has in recent years prioritized grassroots mobilization ahead of national elections, with party executives introducing various programs aimed at re-energizing the base.
