The Incoming National Democratic Congress, NDC, Ejisu Constituency Vice Chairman aspirant Mr. Samuel Kyenkyenhene has pledged to provide selfless, inclusive and grassroots-focused leadership to strengthen the party in the constituency ahead of future elections.
Speaking on the morning show of Aben 103.3 FM, Mr. Kyenkyenhene said his core agenda, if given the mandate by delegates, will be to bridge the gap between party leadership and the base while fostering unity within the NDC in Ejisu.
‘Connecting The Base Is My Priority’
The aspirant told listeners that rebuilding trust and communication between executives and grassroots members will be central to his tenure.
“My priority is connecting the base and unifying the National Democratic Congress in the constituency,” he stated.
“Politics is about the people. When the base is strong, motivated and feels carried along, victory becomes possible. That is the kind of leadership I intend to offer Ejisu NDC a friendly, accessible and selfless leadership.”
Mr. Kyenkyenhene pointed to his previous contributions to the party as evidence of his commitment to service.
According to him, his dedication and selfless service contributed to the NDC’s victory in securing the Asotwe Assembly Member seat in the last local government elections.
He also disclosed that he played a key role in registering over 1,000 constituents onto the National Health Insurance Scheme, a move he said was aimed at easing the healthcare burden on families and improving welfare in the constituency.
“These are not just promises. I have already been working. I believe in service before position. I have been on the ground with the people, and I will continue to do so,” he added.
*Appeal To Delegates*
With internal party elections approaching, Mr. Kyenkyenhene appealed directly to Ejisu Constituency delegates to entrust him with the position of Vice Chairman.
He urged them to vote for a leader who understands the challenges at the grassroots and is ready to work tirelessly to reposition the NDC in Ejisu, a constituency traditionally seen as an NPP stronghold.
“Make me your own. Vote for me to serve you. Together we can build a stronger, united and more formidable NDC in Ejisu that can compete and win,” he appealed.
Political observers say the NDC in Ejisu is focused on reorganization and grassroots mobilization as the party prepares for the next general elections.
Party executives have emphasized the need for committed, hardworking and unifying leaders at the constituency level to help expand the party’s support base in the Ashanti Region.
Mr. Kyenkyenhene says his experience in community engagement, welfare initiatives, and party organization places him in a strong position to help deliver that objective.
