The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion Church International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has warned Christians against practising discrimination in the body of Christ, stressing that Christianity stands for unity and not division.

Speaking to his congregation during bible teachings on August 30, Evangelist Awuah expressed concern over the growing trend of favouritism, tribalism, status-based segregation and cliques within some Christian circles, which he said contradicts the core message of the Gospel.

According to him, the blood of Jesus Christ was shed for all humanity without distinction, and therefore the church must be a place where every person feels accepted, loved and valued regardless of their background, social standing or economic status.

“Christianity is not discrimination but unity,” he declared.
Evangelist Awuah explained that Christ came to break down walls of partition and reconcile all people to God and to one another, and as followers of Christ, Christians have a divine mandate to promote peace, togetherness and oneness.
He noted that discrimination weakens the church, destroys fellowship and drives away souls who are seeking refuge in God, while unity strengthens the church, attracts the presence of God and enhances effective evangelism.

The man of God therefore urged Christians, particularly church leaders, to be intentional about fostering unity by treating all members equally, embracing diversity and demonstrating the unconditional love of Christ to everyone.

He added that where unity prevails, the power of God manifests, and the church becomes a true reflection of heaven on earth.
