The current Deputy Communications Officer for the Oforikrom Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Okasha Ahmed, who has been vetted and cleared to contest for the substantive Constituency Communications Officer position, has vowed to set a new record in the constituency with an effective and strategic communication plan.

According to him, his ultimate goal is to win more votes for the NDC in the Ashanti Region and, more importantly, to snatch the Oforikrom Parliamentary seat from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to journalists after his vetting, Okasha Ahmed expressed confidence in his competence and experience for the job.

“I have the experience for the job. During our time in opposition, I made it very difficult for the NPP, who are now in opposition, through my communication skills and strategy,” he stated.

He added that if given the nod as the substantive Communications Officer, he will introduce a new, proactive, and grassroots-based communication strategy that will rebrand the NDC in Oforikrom, counter opposition propaganda, and project the achievements of the Mahama-led government.

Okasha Ahmed further called on delegates to give him massive endorsement, assuring them of a united, disciplined, and vibrant communication team that will make the NDC more attractive in the constituency.
