YOU CAN’T CLAIM GOD’S PROTECTION WHEN YOU ARE NOT HIS CHILD – EVANGELIST AKWASI AWUAH CAUTIONS CHRISTIANS

The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion Church International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has issued a strong caution to Christians across the world to genuinely give their lives to Christ in order to enjoy divine protection, noting that many seek shelter under God while they do not belong to Him.

He made the call on Day 1 of a 3-Day Power Packed Revival being held at the Lyon Branch of the Church in France, under the theme “Rise Up and Walk”

The revival, which has attracted hundreds of Ghanaian Christians and other nationals living in Lyon and across France, is aimed at spiritual awakening, restoration and empowering believers to walk in their God-given mandate.

Many Christians Are Not Covered

Preaching on the theme, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah lamented that the contemporary Christian is more interested in the benefits of God protection, healing, prosperity, favour than in having a genuine relationship with Him.

According to him, many churchgoers seek God’s covering in times of trouble, yet they have not truly repented and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour, which is the only basis for becoming a child of God.

“Most Christians seek God’s protection while they are not His children. You cannot claim the privileges of a family you do not belong to. Until you give your life to Christ, you are not covered,” he declared to a responsive congregation.

He stressed that being in church, paying tithe, or bearing a Christian name does not automatically make one a child of God, but a conscious decision to turn away from sin and follow Christ.

The Expensive Kente Illustration

To drive home his point, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah used a striking local illustration that resonated with the audience.

He explained that no one in his right senses would use a highly expensive and authentic Bonwire Kente cloth which is purchased at a high price to clean rubbish or treat it carelessly.

Valuable things, he noted, are always preserved, protected and handled with great care.

“If we can handle an expensive Bonwire Kente with such reverence because of its monetary value, how much more the precious blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on Calvary to save us? That blood is priceless, yet many Christians treat it with disregard,” Evangelist Awuah explained.

He added that while believers jealously protect their clothes, cars, money and houses, they fail to protect and value their spiritual life which was purchased at the highest cost the blood of Jesus.

Evangelist Awuah emphasized that true and lasting security in life, both physical and spiritual, can only be found in Christ.

He said outside Christ, man is exposed, vulnerable to spiritual attacks, and lacks divine covering, no matter the prayers offered.

He therefore challenged participants to use the 3-day revival as a moment of genuine rededication and spiritual rising to rise from sin, complacency, laziness, and spiritual slumber, and begin to walk in holiness, power and purpose.

The Lyon Revival is featuring intense worship, healing, deliverance, prayer and deep doctrinal teachings on victorious Christian living.

The atmosphere on Day One was charged with high spiritual fervor, with many participants responding to the altar call to rededicate their lives to Christ.

The program is expected to continue through to its climax, with the man of God expected to minister on breaking spiritual limitations and walking in dominion.

Many congregants expressed optimism that the encounter would mark a major turning point in their spiritual lives.
