Noble Nketsiah Honours Late Yaw Sarpong And Bernice Offei At 25th Anniversary Celebration

Legendary Ghanaian gospel musician, Noble Nketsiah, has paid glowing tribute to two towering figures in Ghana’s gospel music industry, the late Yaw Sarpong and renowned gospel icon Bernice Offei, during his 25th anniversary celebration in music.

The anniversary, which brought together gospel music lovers, industry players, clergy and family, was held to celebrate Noble Nketsiah’s 25 years of dedication, impact and ministry through gospel music.

Tribute To His Pillars

Speaking to the gathering, an emotional Noble Nketsiah said he grew up both in life and in music under the inspiration and guidance of the two gospel legends.

He described Yaw Sarpong and Bernice Offei as his motivation and the shoulders upon which he stood to become who he is today in the gospel fraternity.

“I grew up both in life and in music through these two gospel legends as my motivation. They inspired me, guided me, and showed me the way. It is very sad not to have one of them alive now to see this moment,” he said.

Noble Nketsiah noted that the late Yaw Sarpong, leader of the Asomafo group, was not just a musician but a father and mentor to many young gospel artistes, whose timeless songs shaped the direction of Ghanaian gospel music.

He also eulogized Bernice Offei, describing her as a powerhouse of inspirational gospel music whose consistency and spiritual depth has kept her relevant for decades.

A Legacy Worth Celebrating

According to him, honouring them at his 25th anniversary was his own small way of showing appreciation for their immense contributions to his career and to the growth of gospel music in Ghana.

The event was climaxed with a moment of remembrance for the late Yaw Sarpong, with patrons observing a solemn moment in honour of his life and legacy.

Noble Nketsiah, known for hit songs such as “Mmofra Yi” and “Yesu Do,” used the occasion to thank God, his family, fans and the media for supporting him throughout his 25-year journey, and reaffirmed his commitment to continue ministering through music.

The celebration also featured ministrations and solidarity messages from fellow gospel artistes and men of God.
