The grassroots of the National Democratic Congress in the Ejisu Constituency have thrown their weight behind Samuel Kyenkyenhene, endorsing him to delegates ahead of the upcoming constituency executive elections for the position of Vice Chairman.

The endorsement was announced by a group of branch executives and party supporters who described Mr. Kyenkyenhene as a committed party man with deep ties to the base.

“A Man Of The Grassroots”
Speaking on behalf of the group, some grassroots leaders said there has been a long-standing and strong bond between Mr. Kyenkyenhene and the rank and file of the party in Ejisu.
According to them, his consistent engagement with supporters at the branch level has earned him the trust and admiration of many within the constituency.
“We know Samuel Kyenkyenhene. He has walked with us, worked with us, and supported us over the years,” one grassroots leader stated. “He understands the challenges of the grassroots because he is one of us.”

Commitment And Contributions Recognized
The group further highlighted Mr. Kyenkyenhene’s commitment, contributions, and support toward residents across the constituency.
They noted that beyond party activities, he has been involved in community initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents, particularly in times of need.

“His commitment, contributions and support towards the residents in the constituency cannot be overlooked,” the group added. “That is the kind of leadership we want at the executive level someone who is accessible and who puts the people first.”
The grassroots leaders said they believe his experience and connection with the base will help strengthen unity and mobilization ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Call To Delegates
The endorsement comes as the NDC prepares to hold constituency elections across the country to elect new executives.
The group is now calling on delegates in Ejisu to consider voting for Mr. Kyenkyenhene to occupy the Vice Chairman position, arguing that his leadership will help bridge the gap between the executives and the grassroots.
“We are urging all delegates to vote massively for Samuel Kyenkyenhene. He has the grassroots at heart and will work to ensure that no one is left behind,” they stated.

Political observers in Ejisu say the race for executive positions in the constituency is gathering momentum, with several aspirants declaring their intentions in recent weeks.
Party faithful have emphasized the need for unity and competent leadership to reposition the NDC for victory in Ejisu, a constituency considered a key battleground in the Ashanti Region.
Mr. Kyenkyehene is yet to officially address delegates, but sources close to his campaign say he will soon outline his vision for the constituency.
