The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion Church International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has admonished Christians to remain humble when God blesses them with riches, and not to become boastful or proud.

Speaking to the congregation on the theme “Description of Love” during bible teachings on August 30, Evangelist Awuah said true Christian love requires humility and submission as exemplified by Christ Himself.

“Christ needs us to be submissive as He is,” he told the congregation, emphasizing that humility is a defining mark of a believer who walks in love.

Touching on the character of love, the man of God explained that love is patient and kind, and does not seek to oppress or demean others.

“Don’t use your wealth against the poor,” he cautioned, urging wealthy Christians to use their blessings to uplift the less privileged rather than to intimidate or exploit them.
Evangelist Akwasi Awuah noted that when a person carries the love of God, he becomes unique and distinct among others, as his actions, speech and attitude reflect the nature of Christ.

He further charged the church to practice forgiveness, saying, “Forgive one another if we sin against each other,” stressing that unforgiveness has no place in the heart of a person filled with divine love.
Quoting Romans 8:35, which asks what shall separate us from the love of Christ, he reminded believers that nothing should be allowed to separate them from God, and that walking in love is evidence of their unbroken fellowship with Him.
“You won’t gossip if you have God’s love in you. You won’t fornicate if you have God’s love in you. You won’t steal from someone if you have God’s love,” he stated.

He concluded by urging Christians to allow the love of God to rule their hearts, noting that it is the foundation for righteous living, peaceful coexistence and true Christian witness.
