The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion Church International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has charged Christians to do whatever is in their heart to glorify God and not allow anyone to stop them from doing what they feel led to do for God’s blessings and glory.
Speaking to the congregation during the church service on Saturday, August 30, 2026, Evangelist Awuah said Christians should not seek permission or validation from anyone before doing something for God in His ministry, stressing that the moment a person thinks about God, God also remembers and blesses them.
“Don’t ever murmur in doing something for God,” he stated.
Drawing lessons from the story of Dorcas in the Bible, Evangelist Awuah recounted how the good deeds of Dorcas spoke for her even after death. According to him, when Dorcas died, the people she used to feed and support cried out that hunger would kill them if she was gone, and when Apostle Peter arrived and prayed, she came back to life.
He said the story is a clear demonstration that sacrificial service and generosity towards God and humanity never go unnoticed.
Evangelist Akwasi Awuah further cautioned Christians not to allow bitterness to come between them and God, noting that harbouring bitterness hinders divine blessings and spiritual growth.
He added that Christians should not think of their own progress alone but should also be concerned about the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
“Don’t ever be stingy to God,” he charged.
The man of God lamented that many Christians today harbour misconceptions during special harvest and thanksgiving seasons, thinking that all monies contributed go to the pastor, and therefore become envious and reluctant to give.
Addressing such concerns, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah questioned the mindset of those who doubt the use of church funds, pointing to the magnificent headquarters building of Pillar of Zion Church International as evidence of what God can do when His people give willingly.
“Just look at the church building of Pillar of Zion headquarters, are you not shocked and surprised?” he quizzed.
He asked congregants to examine themselves: “Which mind do you have for God, which service are you rendering to God?”
Evangelist Awuah noted that some Christians own several plots of land and properties, yet they continue to fellowship in school classrooms and temporary structures, while still expecting God’s blessings upon their lives.
He also expressed concern about how some pastors walk on foot to church due to lack of support, urging Christians to hold and support their pastors, clarifying that money meant for God is not necessarily for pastors or men of God alone, but for the work of God.
He concluded by urging believers to give cheerfully, serve faithfully and support the work of God without grumbling, assuring them that God rewards every sincere sacrifice made for His glory.
