Money Alone Cannot Do The Work; NPP Needs A Youth Leader Who Connects With And Respects The Youth – Michael Osei Boateng ‘Pope’

A leading contender for the National Youth Organizer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Michael Osei Boateng, popularly known as ‘Pope’, has declared himself the most resourceful and experienced candidate in the race, emphasizing that the party needs a leader who truly connects with the youth beyond monetary influence.

Speaking on Asempa 94.7 FM’s flagship political show monitored by Oseikromfm.com, the National Youth Organizer hopeful stated that while resources are important in party organization, what the NPP youth wing needs at this critical time is a leader with deep experience, emotional connection, and genuine respect for the youth.

“I’m the most resourceful and experienced person among all those contesting for the National Youth Organizer position and the party can count on me at any time. Money alone cannot do the work; we need someone who can connect with the youth and respect them,” Mr. Boateng stated.

Experience, Resourcefulness and Dependability

Mr. Osei Boateng, who is contesting as No. 3 on the ballot paper, said his years of service to the party at various levels have equipped him with the requisite experience to understand the needs, aspirations and frustrations of the youth.

According to him, he has been tested, he has been available, and he has consistently stood with the youth in both good and difficult times, making him the most dependable choice for the party.

He argued that the role of National Youth Organizer goes beyond sharing money; it requires strategic mobilization, effective communication, mentorship, and the ability to inspire hope and confidence in the rank and file of the youth wing.

The Voice Of The Youth

Running under the campaign message “Hope In Pope” and the hashtag #PopeIsCapable #TheVoiceOfTheYouth, Mr. Boateng said his vision is to restore hope, unity and vibrancy to the NPP youth front as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.

He promised to run an open-door administration that will respect every youth, regardless of their background or financial status, and create opportunities for skills development, employment linkages and active participation in party activities.

“The youth do not just need money; they need respect, they need someone who listens to them, connects with them and fights for them. That is what I stand for,” he added.

As the NPP gears up for its National Delegates Conference scheduled for October 3, Mr. Michael Osei Boateng is appealing to delegates to vote massively for No. 3  Pope, as the capable and experienced voice the youth can trust and count on at any time.
