The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called for peace and unity among the people of Ahafo Ano South West District to ensure the continuation of developmental projects following the demise of the late District Chief Executive, Hon. Abubakar Sedik.

Hon. Sedik died untimely in Kumasi after attending a meeting organized by the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development for MMDCEs in the region.

Addressing a mammoth durbar of chiefs, MMDCEs, party faithfuls, family members and sympathizers at Mankranso during the final burial rites of the late DCE, Hon. Dr. Amoakohene described the deceased as a man of peace and unity whose leadership style fostered cohesion and accelerated development in the district.

He noted that the late Hon. Sedik was committed to the government’s developmental agenda and worked tirelessly to bring projects to his people, adding that the best way to honour his memory is for the district to remain united and focused on development.
“The late DCE was a man of peace, unity and development. Let us maintain that spirit of togetherness so that the developmental agenda he started will not die with him,” the Regional Minister urged.
