The MTN@30 celebration turned dreams into reality at Kejetia in Kumasi, as a businesswoman, a farmer and an engineer drove home in brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prados simply for staying connected on the MTN network.

The three lucky winners Mrs. Faustina Asante, Ms. Mahama Wasila and Mr. Alidu Tanko received their keys at a colourful prize presentation ceremony held at Kejetia Market on September 16, 2026, as part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th Anniversary.

Their story is simple: they did nothing extraordinary. No registration, no short code, no extra step. They only continued to do what they have always done make calls, browse the internet and transact on Mobile Money. Their everyday usage automatically earned them points, and those points won them the biggest prizes in the promotion.
The Kumasi presentation was the second of three major prize-giving events under the MTN@30 Consumer Promotion. The first was held in Accra, with the grand finale scheduled for the coming weeks.

In total, the three-month-long promotion will reward up to 30,000 customers with prizes ranging from brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prados to cash prizes of up to GH¢30,000. Nine Prados will be given away in total three at each presentation.

Speaking at the event, Sandra Oduro Antwi, Senior Manager for Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, said the promotion is MTN’s heartfelt way of appreciating loyal customers who have been part of the company’s three-decade journey.
“This milestone belongs not to MTN alone, but to the more than 32 million Ghanaians who have made MTN part of their lives,” she stated.

On his part, Samuel Arthur, Senior Specialist for Mass Segment at MTN Ghana, stressed that the promotion is anchored on transparency and fairness. He disclosed that independent auditing firm KPMG reviews and verifies all promotion data at every stage to ensure integrity in the selection of winners.

For the winners, the victory was nothing short of miraculous.
Mahama Wasila, a farmer from the Northern Region, said she was in total shock. She had only continued buying data, airtime and using MoMo for her daily activities, never imagining that such routine habits could put her behind the wheel of a Prado.
“I never imagined that I could win something like this, but by God’s grace, I have won this,” she said with excitement.
Mrs. Faustina Asante, a businesswoman, narrated how she first saw information about the MTN@30 promo on TikTok.

She said she does most of her business transactions through MoMo and regularly buys data bundles for her family and loved ones a habit that earned her the grand prize. She urged other customers to remain hopeful and participate in future promotions.
The MTN@30 promotion forms part of a series of activities to commemorate MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary on the theme “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You” a theme that pays tribute to customers, employees, partners and stakeholders whose loyalty and support have powered MTN’s growth since it began operations in Ghana.
