We Won’t Wait For Government For Jobs – Asokwa NDC Youth Organizer Aspirant Amo Mensah Declares

The leading aspirant for the position of Constituency Youth Organizer for Asokwa on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Amo Mensah Mark, popularly known as Amo, has vowed to make youth unemployment his topmost priority if elected.

According to him, the biggest challenge confronting the youth in Asokwa today is the lack of decent and sustainable jobs.

Speaking to the media after successfully filing his nomination forms at the Asokwa NDC Constituency Office, Amo said the era where the youth wait solely on government for employment must come to an end.

“The biggest problem facing the youth is jobs. When I am elected as Youth Organizer, we will not wait for government before getting jobs. We will create jobs on our own,” he declared.

He outlined his vision to roll out skills training, entrepreneurship support and youth empowerment initiatives that will equip young people in the constituency to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Amo further expressed confidence that his leadership will not only energize the youth wing of the party but also help the NDC wrestle the Asokwa Parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the next general elections.

“The NDC has a solid message for the youth of Asokwa. With unity and hard work, we will win the Asokwa seat from our opponents,” he vowed.

Meanwhile, some youth in the constituency have thrown their weight behind his candidacy.

One of them, Akosua, said the youth in Asokwa have for years been sidelined in party and community development activities, but they are confident that Amo is the right person to change the narrative.

“He has been massively supportive to we the youth even while he is not holding any post. We believe in him and we trust that he will deliver when given the mandate,” she hinted.

The Asokwa Constituency Youth Organizer election is expected to be keenly contested, with Amo Mensah Mark emerging as a strong favourite among the youth base.
