The incumbent Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Mponua Constituency, Hon. Haruna Salifu Zampa, widely known as Chairman Kutu, has vowed to continue his good works and development agenda for the constituency if retained as Chairman.
Chairman Kutu, who is seeking re-election in the upcoming constituency executive elections scheduled for October 24, 2026, says he has made the NDC very attractive and formidable in Atwima Mponua during his tenure.
Speaking to the media after his vetting and balloting, the incumbent Chairman expressed confidence that his track record and visible achievements will speak for him at the polls.
“My good works will fight for me. I have worked hard to make the NDC very attractive in this constituency. From grassroots mobilization to party unity and development, my record is there for all to see,” Chairman Kutu stated.
He appealed to delegates to vote massively to maintain him as the Constituency Chairman to enable him to consolidate the gains made and continue his developmental agenda for the party.
According to him, his leadership style has been anchored on inclusiveness, hard work, and commitment to the welfare of party members and the constituency at large.
Chairman Kutu further noted that he is a man of unity who is ready to unite and work with all factions within the party after the elections, even though some people have been ungrateful to him.
“I am a unifier. My doors are always open. Even those who were on the other side and those who have been ungrateful to me, I will bring them on board because NDC is bigger than any individual. What we need after October 24 is a united front to retain power in 2028,” he emphasized.
He called on delegates and party faithful to remain calm and focused, urging them not to be swayed by propaganda but to look at the substance of leadership and the ability to deliver.
The Atwima Mponua constituency election is expected to be keenly contested, but Chairman Kutu remains confident that delegates will renew his mandate based on his proven leadership and dedication to the party.
