The political fortunes of Hon. Samuel Kyenkyenhene received a major boost today following the vetting and balloting exercise for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ejisu Constituency executives.

Hon. Kyenkyenhene, who is contesting for the position of Vice Chairman, successfully went through vetting and subsequently picked the coveted No. 1 position on the ballot paper during the balloting exercise held today.

The exercise, which was conducted by the constituency election committee, saw all aspirants who were cleared after vetting pick their positions on the ballot ahead of the constituency elections scheduled for October 2026.
Picking No.1 is widely seen by party faithful as a symbol of leadership and victory, and supporters of Hon. Kyenkyenhene who had thronged the party office erupted in jubilation after his ballot number was announced.

Addressing party members after the balloting, Hon. Samuel Kyenkyenhene expressed profound gratitude to the vetting committee and the entire NDC fraternity in Ejisu for the transparent process.
He described his No.1 spot as a divine endorsement and a call to lead with experience, dedication, and a community-focused agenda.
“This No.1 is not just a number on the ballot, it is a symbol of our resolve to put Ejisu NDC first. I am experienced, dedicated, and community-focused. Together, we will build the Ejisu Constituency we want and make NDC more attractive and formidable ahead of 2028,” he stated.

He further called for unity among all aspirants and party members, stressing that the internal contest should strengthen, not divide, the party.
“We are one family under the great umbrella. Whether you support No.1 or not, we are all NDC. Let us campaign with decorum and focus on our common goal victory for the NDC,” he added.

Hon. Kyenkyenhene’s campaign message anchored on Leadership, Service, and Progress has already resonated well with many delegates across the constituency, with his #Kyenkyen1 and #Vote1 slogans gaining momentum.
With balloting now concluded, the stage is set for a vigorous campaign across all branches in the Ejisu Constituency, with many political watchers tipping Hon. Samuel Kyenkyenhene as one of the frontrunners for the Vice Chairman position.
The Ejisu Constituency election is expected to be one of the most keenly contested, as the NDC seeks to consolidate its gains and strengthen its structures at the grassroots.
