‘Be Different From the World’ – Evangelist Akwasi Awuah Urges Christians to Walk in Righteousness

The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion Ministry International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has urged Christians to live distinctly from the world and to reflect God’s love through their character, relationships, and daily conduct.

Speaking during the first Sunday service of July 2026 on the theme _“Walking in God’s Love,”_ the clergyman said true Christianity must go beyond church attendance and be visible in how believers live at home, at work, and in society.

“Check your friendship, check your conversations, check your time and leisure,” Evangelist Awuah told a packed congregation.

“As a Christian, your life must be different. The world must see Christ in you. If there is no difference between you and an unbeliever, then we have a problem.”

“Christians Are Precious Stones”

In a symbolic illustration, Evangelist Awuah compared believers to valuable gems that must remain firm despite pressures.

“I respect rivers because it speaks to me and I respect stones too,” he stated. “But Christians are precious stones that do not have to be driven away by simple and small problems. Stand firm. The love of God in you is stronger than any pressure, any temptation, or any challenge.”

He anchored his message on Ephesians 5:1, calling on believers to imitate God as beloved children.
“Walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us,” he quoted. “That is the standard. That is how we prove we belong to God.”

A Call for Integrity

Evangelist Awuah also turned his attention to ethics in the workplace, warning that compromise and dishonesty are eroding the Christian witness.

“You call yourself a Christian and you do ‘connections’, you steal from your company’s coffers, you make all sorts of underground dealings,” he said. “That is not the life of Christ. That is the life of the world. God is watching, and your light cannot shine in darkness.”

He noted that cutting corners, envy, and secret dealings not only damage reputations but also give the enemy room to operate in families, businesses, and ministries.

According to him, believers must be the standard-bearers of honesty, diligence, and accountability wherever they find themselves.

Choose God Over the Approval of Men

Evangelist Awuah charged members of Pillar of Zion Ministry International and Christians across the country to pursue righteousness deliberately and to allow God’s love to dictate their choices.

“Walking in God’s love means choosing what pleases God over what pleases men,” he emphasized. “Sometimes it will cost you opportunities, relationships, and money. But eternal reward is greater. Let your life preach the gospel even when your mouth is silent.”

He added that in a society where materialism and moral compromise are on the rise, Christians have a duty to model contentment, purity, and faithfulness.

The service attracted hundreds of worshippers who spent the morning in prayer, worship, and biblical teaching focused on holiness, integrity, and devotion.

Church officials said the July series will continue over the next four Sundays, addressing practical topics such as godly relationships, financial stewardship, and workplace ethics.

“God is calling His church back to the basics love, truth, and righteousness,” a church elder noted after the service. “That was the heart of today’s message.”
