Former Ashanti Regional Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has staged a emphatic return to the helm of the New Patriotic Party in the region after securing a commanding victory in the NPP’s 2026 Ashanti Regional Delegates Conference.
According to provisional results released after Saturday’s election, COKA polled 663 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Dr. Kwabena Kokofu, who obtained 269 votes. A total of 1,020 delegates cast their ballots in the keenly contested race for the region’s top party position.
