A leading contender for the Ashanti Regional Organizer position of the New Patriotic Party, Daniel Kwaku Mensah, popularly known as DKM, , has picked number 3 on the ballot paper ahead of the party’s regional executive elections.
The balloting exercise, held during the week in Kumasi, officially set the order for aspirants contesting various regional positions.
Speaking to delegates and supporters after picking his slot, DKM said his campaign is anchored on a simple theme: Stronger Together, United We Win, and Developing the Ashanti Region.
He pledged to use the position to make the NPP more attractive, vibrant, and competitive in the region ahead of the 2028 general elections.
“My vision is to build a stronger, united, and well-resourced organizing machinery that will mobilize every single vote for the NPP,” he stated.
“We must make the party attractive again at the polling station and constituency levels so that more people will join us and more votes will be delivered for the NPP in 2028.”
Focus On Grassroots Mobilization
DKM said the role of Regional Organizer requires direct engagement with the base of the party, and he is committed to strengthening structures from the polling station to the constituency level.
According to him, key priorities will include training party agents, improving logistics for campaign activities, and ensuring better coordination between the regional office and constituency executives.
He added that developing the Ashanti Region must go hand-in-hand with strengthening the party, because a strong NPP is what will drive development for the people.
“A united party wins elections. A strong party delivers development. That is why my focus is on unity, organization, and results,” DKM noted.
The Organizer hopeful said the Ashanti Region, as the NPP’s biggest vote bank, has a responsibility to increase its numbers in both parliamentary and presidential elections.
He pledged to work with all stakeholders, including youth and women organizers, to expand the party’s reach and win back support in areas where the party lost ground.
“We are going to make the NPP stronger and more attractive so that we can win more votes come 2028,” he declared.
Ballot No.3 And The Road Ahead
Describing his ballot position, DKM said picking number 3 was an opportunity to stand out and present his message of unity and development to delegates.
Party delegates across the Ashanti Region are expected to vote in the coming weeks to elect new regional executives who will lead the NPP’s mobilization efforts ahead of the 2028 polls.
The Regional Organizer position is considered critical to the party’s electoral machinery, responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of campaigns across the region’s 47 constituencies.
With balloting now complete, campaign activities are expected to intensify as aspirants tour constituencies to sell their vision to delegates.
