The Party faithfuls of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency have declared their unwavering support for John Kwame Duodu, popularly known as Sir John, ahead of the upcoming internal elections, describing him as the best candidate for Constituency Secretary.

The declaration was made during a well-attended gathering of grassroots members, polling station executives, and electoral area coordinators who said Sir John’s track record, loyalty, and connection with the base make him the most suitable choice for the position.

“If God Says Yes, Who Are You to Say No”
Chanting “If God Says Yes, Who Are You to Say No,” delegates and party members said their endorsement was both a political and spiritual conviction.
They argued that Sir John has consistently demonstrated commitment to the NPP’s ideals in the constituency, working tirelessly to mobilize support, strengthen polling station structures, and defend the party’s interests at all levels.
“We know Sir John. He is a grassroots man. He has sacrificed for this party without expecting anything in return. If the grassroots say yes, then that is the voice of the party,” one delegate stated.

Grassroots Support and Party Loyalty Cited
The faithfuls emphasized that the Constituency Secretary position requires someone with deep knowledge of the party’s structures, strong organizational skills, and the ability to unite members after every internal contest.
According to them, Sir John has built relationships across all electoral areas and commands the trust of polling station executives who form the backbone of the party’s electoral machinery.
“Secretary is about records, coordination, and communication. Sir John has shown he can keep records, he can mobilize, and he can bring people together. That is what we need now,” another party member said.
The endorsement comes as the NPP intensifies preparations toward internal elections and the 2026 general elections. Constituency executives and party stakeholders have been urged to prioritize unity and competence over factional interests.
The supporters of Sir John insisted that their campaign is not about division but about placing the right person in the right position to help the NPP retain Atwima Nwabiagya South and increase its parliamentary margin.
“We are not fighting anyone. We are only saying the party should give the position to someone the grassroots believe in. Sir John is that person,” a polling station executive added.

With the internal elections approaching, Sir John’s supporters say they will continue to engage delegates across the constituency to consolidate support and ensure victory.
Party leadership has yet to comment on the growing endorsement, but political observers note that grassroots backing will be a key factor in determining who leads the constituency’s administrative wing ahead of the next electoral cycle.
