NPP Ashanti Chairman Aspirant Henry Kokofu Commends Otumfuo’s Leadership at Thanksgiving Service


The incoming Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party Chairman, Chairman Henry Kokofu has commended the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his distinguished leadership and steadfast commitment to the Asante Kingdom and the nation.
Mr. Kokofu made the remarks on Sunday during a thanksgiving service held in honour of His Royal Majesty at Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Cathedral in Fante New Town, Kumasi.
The service brought together traditional authorities, clergy, political figures, and residents to give thanks for the Asantehene’s reign and contributions to peace and development.

Speaking in an interview with the media, Mr. Kokofu described Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as a symbol of unity, wisdom, and visionary leadership whose influence extends beyond the Ashanti Region.
He said the Asantehene’s role in promoting education, health, and traditional governance continues to inspire leaders across the political spectrum.
“The leadership of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on the Asante Throne is exemplary. His dedication to the welfare of his people and to national cohesion is something we must all emulate,” Mr. Kokofu stated.
He further noted that traditional leadership remains a pillar of Ghana’s social and cultural identity, and pledged his support for initiatives that strengthen collaboration between traditional authorities and government.
The thanksgiving service formed part of activities marking the Asantehene’s ongoing engagements with the people of Kumasi and surrounding communities. Clergy at Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Cathedral led prayers for the continued health, wisdom, and reign of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Mr. Kokofu, who is seeking to lead the NPP in the Ashanti Region, said his vision for the party includes deepening engagement with traditional institutions to advance development and social cohesion in the region.
