Stop Following Those Who Tarnish Christ’s Name On Social Media – Evangelist Akwasi Awuah Warns Christians

The Founder and Leader of the Pillar of Zion Church International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has cautioned Christians to desist from following and listening to individuals who use social media platforms to speak against Jesus Christ and tarnish His name.

Speaking to the congregation during Sunday church service on September 20, 2026, evangelist Awuah expressed concern over the growing trend of controversial personalities using social media to attack the Christian faith for fame and attention.

According to him, such persons are deliberately creating confusion among believers and seeking to sway innocent souls out of the Kingdom of God.

“Stop following those who speak against Christ and tarnish His name on social media. Don’t listen to them or follow them,” Evangelist Awuah warned.

He urged Christians to be spiritually discerning and to guard their faith jealously, stressing that not every message trending online is worth consuming.

Evangelist Awuah noted that social media has become a tool for many to propagate falsehood and blasphemy against the church, and Christians who constantly watch and share such content unknowingly promote their agenda and weaken their own faith.

“Don’t allow them to sway you out of God’s Kingdom. Stay rooted in the Word of God and focus on your salvation,” he admonished.

The man of God further called on believers to rather follow genuine men of God who preach truth, holiness, and salvation, instead of chasing controversial figures whose sole aim is to ridicule Christianity.

The Sunday service was marked by intense prayers for the preservation of the Christian faith and for spiritual strength for believers in the face of growing attacks on the church.
