A key contender in the Ashanti Regional Deputy Secretary race of the New Patriotic Party, Adwoa Adutwumwaa Boadi, has withdrawn from the contest barely days after filing her nomination forms.
In a statement addressed to delegates and party members in the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, Madam Boadi said her decision was taken “for the good of the Party, the DMB Fraternity, and several agreements” reached following her submission of forms.

The aspiring Deputy Regional Secretary expressed gratitude to party members in Ahafo Ano South West for the support shown to her after she declared her intention to contest the position in the upcoming Ashanti Regional NPP elections.
“Good morning to the good people of Ahafo Ano South West Constituency for the support you showed me when I declared my intentions to contest for the Deputy Assistant Secretary position in the upcoming Regional Elections,” she stated.
“Upon submitting my forms, I have decided not to contest again. To those who reposed confidence and prayed for me, I say thank you.”
The DMB Fraternity refers to supporters and loyalists of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s 2028 Presidential Candidate.
Appreciation To Constituency Leadership
Madam Boadi also used the opportunity to thank key party figures in her constituency for their guidance and encouragement.
She specifically acknowledged the Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West, Hon. Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Banahene, popularly known as Aseidu Nketiah, and Constituency Coordinator, Bright Adusei Stephen.
“I again use this opportunity to thank our Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon. Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, our Chairman, Mr. Banahene, Coordinator Bright Adusei Stephen, my sisters and brothers in the constituency,” she said.
She called on members to remain united and focused ahead of the 2028 general elections.
“May we always remain united and work for victory 2028. Thank you,” she added.
