The Resident Pastor of Pillar of Zion Church International Headquarters, Pastor Gabriel Amponsah, has urged Christians not to downplay their trust and hope in God, but to anchor their faith fully in Him.

He gave the exhortation while ministering to congregants during the church’s Watchnight Service held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the church Headquarters auditorium in Kumasi.

According to Pastor Amponsah, many believers have shifted their confidence to human connections and material systems, a move he described as spiritually dangerous and unsustainable.
“Christians shouldn’t rely on people but rather put all their trust and hope in God,” he stated.

He explained that while God can use men as channels of blessing, the source of every Christian’s help remains God Himself. He noted that human help is limited, conditional, and can fail, but trust in God provides assurance, stability, and divine intervention even in impossible situations.

Pastor Amponsah referenced scriptures to buttress his message, emphasizing that those who trust in the Lord shall never be put to shame and that God remains faithful to honour those who depend on Him.
He encouraged the congregation to enter the new season with renewed faith, urging them to take every worry, challenge, and expectation to God in prayer instead of running to people first.

The Watchnight Service, which drew a large number of congregants, was marked by intense prayers, worship, and prophetic declarations. Many attendees were seen deeply moved by the message, rededicating their commitment to walk by faith.
Pastor Amponsah concluded by praying for the congregants, declaring that as they place their total trust in God, they will experience divine upliftment, open doors, and testimonies that surpass human understanding.
The service ended with thanksgiving and joyful praise.
