The incoming Constituency Chairman hopeful for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency, Mr Richard Kwadwo Wassawu, has vowed to be a Chairman for all members of the party if delegates give him the nod in the upcoming constituency elections.
Mr Wassawu, who is widely known at the grassroots for his dedication and hard work, made the pledge during an exclusive interview with journalists in the constituency.
He appealed passionately to delegates to vote massively for him, describing himself as a calm, humble and approachable leader who has the party at heart.
A Unifier and Grassroots Workaholic
Speaking to the media, Mr Wassawu said his decision to contest the chairmanship position is borne out of his desire to unify the party and strengthen its grassroots base ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He emphasized that he has been a workaholic and a committed instrument at the grassroots level of the party for many years, working tirelessly in various capacities to ensure the growth and success of the NDC in Atwima Nwabiagya North.
“I am well known through my calmness, humility and humbleness. I have always been with the people at the grassroots and I have served this party with all my heart. I am appealing to delegates to give me the chance to lead as Chairman,” he stated.
Mr Wassawu assured delegates that if elected, he will run an all-inclusive and open-door administration where every member, regardless of faction or affiliation during internal elections, will have a sense of belonging.
Pledge For Victory in 2028
He added that his leadership will focus on reconciliation, youth empowerment, strengthening of party structures from branch to constituency level, and mobilizing resources to make the NDC more attractive and formidable in the constituency.
According to him, his calm nature and ability to listen to all sides make him the ideal person to unite the party after internal elections and lead it to victory in 2028.
He therefore called on all delegates to rally behind his candidature and vote for him as the next Constituency Chairman to bring unity, dedication and progress to the NDC in Atwima Nwabiagya North.
