Renowned Ghanaian road contractor, Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Esther Okyere Gyebi, through their charity wing, the Kofi Job Foundation, have released an amount of $20,000 to support a five-year-old boy diagnosed with a hole-in-heart condition to undergo surgery in India.

The young boy, whose life has been threatened by the congenital heart defect for some time, required urgent medical intervention abroad, a cost far beyond the means of his family.

The mother of the child, Madam Felicity Acheampong, made a passionate appeal to the philanthropic couple for financial assistance to save her son’s life.
Responding swiftly to the appeal, the Kofi Job Foundation not only committed to fund the entire procedure but also facilitated the medical and travel processes. The Foundation linked the family to a specialist doctor in Ghana who conducted all the necessary medical tests and further assisted the family to secure Ghanaian passports for both the boy and his mother.

The funds for the treatment were officially released on Wednesday, September 24, 2026.
Speaking to OTEC News reporter, Kwame Agyenim Boateng, the Co-founder of the Foundation, Dr. Mrs. Esther Okyere Gyebi, disclosed that the decision to take up the full cost was driven by compassion after assessing the dire situation of the family.

According to her, the Kofi Job Foundation was established with the sole mandate of supporting the vulnerable and needy in society.
“The funds for the treatment have been paid in full. The child and his mother will be flown from Ghana to India for the surgery. The Foundation will monitor their progress and ensure the child is safe,” Dr. Mrs. Gyebi stated.

She further urged the family to remain committed to the process and ensure the child is made available for all medical procedures.
Meanwhile, the mother of the patient, Madam Felicity Acheampong, who could not hide her joy, broke down in tears after receiving the support. She expressed profound gratitude to Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife for their benevolence.
“When I first approached them, I never knew this day would come where they would pay the full amount for the treatment. This support will save the family a huge financial burden. I will forever be grateful to the Kofi Job Foundation for this huge support,” she said.

The gesture by the Kofi Job Foundation has been widely commended as yet another demonstration of their commitment to humanitarian causes across the country.
