The Constituency Organizer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ejisu, Prince Boateng, says he is the right candidate to lead the party’s grassroots machinery and help “bring the elephant’s back to power” in the 2028 general elections through aggressive voter canvassing and base mobilization.
The former Deputy Constituency Organizer, who is now vying for the substantive Organizer position, made the declaration as internal party elections draw closer in the Ashanti Region’s political hotbed.
Grassroots Mobilization as Key to Victory
Prince Boateng said his experience serving as Deputy Organizer has equipped him with firsthand knowledge of the constituency’s electoral terrain, polling station structures, and the concerns of branch executives and polling station executives.
“I am the right choice to take up the position in helping break the elephant back to power in 2028, especially with canvassing for more votes from the grassroots,” he stated.
He emphasized that victory in 2028 will be won at the polling station level, not in press conferences.
According to him, his leadership will focus on strengthening the party’s base, ensuring regular engagement with executives, and implementing targeted voter registration and retention drives.
Having worked closely with the outgoing organising team, he argued that he understands the gaps that must be closed to make Ejisu even more formidable for the NPP.
Backing Bawumia’s Presidential Ambition
The Organizer hopeful tied his campaign to the NPP’s flagbearer project, expressing full support for the party’s 2024 presidential candidate and 2028 frontrunner.
“H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the throne as the next president – that’s what our hard work will pay,” Prince Boateng added.
He said the constituency organizing team must align with the national agenda by preparing the grassroots early, training polling agents, and ensuring that the party’s message resonates with voters in Ejisu and surrounding communities.
From Deputy to Lead Organizer
Prince Boateng served as Deputy Constituency Organizer in the previous administration, a role that involved coordinating activities of polling station executives, managing logistics for party events, and supporting voter mobilization efforts.
He is positioning himself as the continuity candidate with the energy and networks to step into the lead role without a learning curve. Party members say the Organizer position is critical in Ejisu, a constituency known for high voter turnout and intense political competition.
With the NPP preparing to retain power in 2028, delegates in Ejisu are expected to prioritize candidates with proven grassroots experience and a clear plan for base expansion. Prince Boateng says his track record and commitment to discipline, unity, and hard work make him the best fit.
The NPP is yet to announce official dates for constituency executive elections, but aspirants across Ashanti Region have already begun engaging delegates and outlining their vision for the party.
