The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion Church International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has stated that formal education offers only artificial knowledge, while true wisdom and understanding of God comes from divine knowledge.
Preaching to his congregation on Sunday, September 13, during a sermon themed “The Gift of God”, the renowned evangelist said many people go to school to acquire artificial knowledge, but only those who have God’s knowledge and wisdom truly know and understand God.
According to him, despite their academic achievements, many lawyers, doctors and professors deny the existence of God because they rely solely on intellectual knowledge without spiritual understanding.
Quoting John 4:10 which says, _“Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water,”_ Evangelist Awuah stressed that Christ is the greatest gift given to humanity.
He lamented that the ministry today is filled with false prophets and fake teachers who, after completing Bible school, parade themselves as men of God without genuine calling and divine revelation.
“You have been given Christ as a gift and many people are just joking with it,” he charged.
Evangelist Awuah admonished Christians to rejoice and be happy because they have Christ as a gift, which is far greater than any material possession.
“We honour money, we honour properties and cars more than Christ,” he quizzed, urging believers to place Christ above worldly things and appreciate the gift of salvation.
The service, which was filled with powerful worship and word ministration, saw congregants rededicate their lives to valuing their relationship with Christ.
