John Kwame Duodu, widely known as Sir John, is positioning himself as the unifying candidate for Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, with delegates citing his grassroots engagement and mobilization record as key strengths.

As the constituency prepares for its executive elections, supporters say Sir John has consistently demonstrated dedication to the NPP at the local level.

Party members describe him as a grassroots mobilizer with the capacity to unite, inspire, and energize members across the constituency’s electoral areas.

“John Kwame Duodu, widely known as Sir John, has demonstrated dedication to the New Patriotic Party in Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency and possesses the capacity to unite, mobilize, and inspire members across the constituency,” a campaign statement read.

Grassroots Engagement and Vision

According to delegates and polling station executives who have worked with him, Sir John’s approach has been rooted in consistent community presence. He is credited with organizing party activities, supporting branch operations, and maintaining direct contact with members at the base.

His campaign emphasizes a vision centered on strengthening party structures, improving communication between the constituency executive and polling stations, and ensuring every member feels represented.

“His vision and grassroots engagement make him a strong choice for the position of secretary,” supporters noted, arguing that the role requires someone who understands the challenges at the polling station level and can translate the party’s national agenda into local action.

Call to Delegates

The campaign is rallying delegates under the slogans “Vote Sir John” and “Win with Sir John”, framing the contest as a choice between continuity of grassroots work and renewed energy in party administration.

Political observers in the Ashanti Region say the Secretary position is critical for party organization ahead of 2028, as it coordinates records, minutes, and internal communication between the constituency, regional, and national executives.

Sir John’s team says his experience working with party members across Atwima Nwabiagya South gives him an advantage in bridging divides and keeping the constituency united.

The NPP constituency elections are expected to take place in the coming weeks, with delegates set to decide the next set of executives who will steer the party’s fortunes at the local level.
