The Leader and General Overseer of Pillar of Zion Ministry International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has publicly apologized to his colleagues in ministry for condemning certain pastoral attitudes during the early years of his calling.

Speaking at the Obuasi branch of Pillar of Zion during a week-long program themed “Breaking The Walls of Jericho”, the clergyman acknowledged that his perspective changed after gaining deeper experience in ministry leadership.
“I never knew how some things work within God’s ministry until I find myself here in the Ministry,” Evang. Awuah told the congregation.

He noted that he had not reached the level of responsibility he now carries at the time he made those criticisms, and only came to understand the complexities after assuming leadership himself.
“Don’t condemn while you have not reached that level,” he cautioned, urging younger ministers to exercise restraint in judging fellow pastors.
“I’m sorry for condemning you,” he added, directing the apology to colleagues whose conduct he had previously criticized.
The apology was delivered as part of teachings during the “Breaking The Walls of Jericho” program, which is drawing believers from Obuasi and surrounding communities for prayer, deliverance, and impartation sessions throughout the week.

Evang. Awuah’s remarks touched on a recurring theme in church leadership: the gap between perception and responsibility.
He suggested that many criticisms leveled at senior ministers often come from a place of limited exposure to the pressures of running a ministry, managing congregations, and handling spiritual oversight.
The statement has been welcomed by some clergy in the Ashanti Region, who say public acts of humility help foster unity among church leaders.
The Obuasi branch of Pillar of Zion Ministry International continues its program through the week, with Evang. Awuah expected to minister on themes of reconciliation, spiritual warfare, and leadership integrity.
Pillar of Zion Ministry International, headquartered at Tarkwa Maakro in Kumasi with branches across Ghana and beyond borders has grown under Evang. Awuah’s leadership since its establishment.
The ministry is known for its deliverance services, conferences, and community outreach programs.
