Olivia Mensah Urges Unity and Women’s Empowerment in Amenfi East NPP Ahead of 2028 Polls

The Women Organizer Hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Amenfi East, Miss Olivia Mensah has called for renewed confidence in women’s leadership and stronger unity within the constituency as the party begins preparations for the 2028 general elections.

In a message to party supporters on Wednesday, Mensah appealed to both young women and seasoned members to believe in their ability to drive the party’s growth at the grassroots.

“This Wednesday, let us believe in ourselves again. Let us build confidence in every young woman and strengthen every experienced hand,” she said.

“When one woman rises, she lifts many others and together, we will rise.”

Campaigning under the slogan Obaatanpa, Mensah argued that collective empowerment of women would be key to positioning Amenfi East NPP for electoral success in 2028.

She maintained that investing in female leadership at the constituency level would translate into stronger mobilization, broader outreach, and improved electoral outcomes for the party.

“Together, let us empower our women and build a stronger Amenfi East NPP for Victory 2028,” she stated, rallying support under her campaign hashtag #OliviaMensah4WomenOrganizer.

Her message also drew on the Twi phrases “Obaatanpa and Yɛnim Wo Dada”- reinforcing her image as a nurturing and trusted figure within the constituency. The phrases, meaning “Good Mother” and “We Know Your Mother,” are commonly used in Ghanaian political communication to convey reliability, care, and community connection.

Party observers note that the Women Organizer role is central to mobilizing female voters, coordinating the women’s wing, and supporting broader party activities at the constituency level. With the NPP aiming to reclaim parliamentary seats and consolidate its base ahead of 2028, aspirants across the country have stepped up engagement with grassroots structures.

Mensah’s campaign has placed emphasis on mentorship, skills development, and economic empowerment for women in Amenfi East, framing these as critical to sustaining party loyalty and increasing female participation in politics.

The Amenfi East NPP constituency is expected to hold internal elections for executive positions in the coming months as the party restructures ahead of the next election cycle.
